Fill Space with Light and Love

When you look up into the night sky at the expansive universe, you are viewing space. Infinite space with no known beginning or end. Sparkling stars in the sky shine brightly even though they may no-longer exist.

When relationships fall apart, space is created.  When that special someone leaves, you can still see the light where that person once stood, just like the stars in the sky.

The gap created can feel empty. The light left behind by that loved one can hurt your eyes to see. It can be almost unbearable to sit with this empty space. Like a large open wound wanting to be filled quickly.  It’s all too easy to rush out to find someone else to fill the gap. In trying to hide the light of the one whom you have lost, you are missing the magic. Losing the opportunity to heal, learn and grow.

Post break-up there is always a lesson to learn and an opportunity to heal. A chance to dig deep inside in order to find our own light. One that shines brighter than the sun.

If you find yourself sitting in that numb space post-breakup; feeling the emptiness and still seeing the light left behind by your loved one, don’t rush out. Breathe.

When you breathe in, you create space on the inside. Connecting to your breath and creating space brings an openness allowing you to center yourself. Breathing deeply is calming. Extending the out breath to double the length of the in breath will help to relieve any anxiety you may feel.

Connecting with your breath is connecting with your life force. Breathe into the space and allow your emotions to flow. Don’t judge yourself or criticise. Stay present in the moment and accept your current reality. See the silver lining in the cloud – you now have a beautiful opportunity to go on an amazing journey with the most important person in your life – you!

Give yourself a truly wonderful gift by taking the time you need to heal. Practicing daily meditation will bring you closer to your own light. Make time to meditate.  Allow your thoughts to float by like clouds in the sky and stay connected to your breath.

With persistent meditative practice, you will find your light. A light that will be accompanied by love and compassion for yourself. Visualise the empty space where that person once stood and send your light, love and compassion into that space. The light from your soul will brighten your world even on your darkest day. Practice self validation and accept who you really are.

Little by little your pain will fade. You will feel validated, accepted and loved deeply by your own self. You will find yourself overflowing with love and compassion. In giving yourself time to heal, magic things will happen. You will learn from the experience which will lead to an internal evolution allowing new opportunities to unfold.  This is when you will shine most brightly. Your beautifully radiant light will attract a real star. Once you are fulfilled from the inside out, the universe will send someone who is truly worthy if all you have to give!
